Archil Bakuradze
Archil Bakuradze is currently holding the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board at JSC MFO Crystal, Georgia’s premier non-banking financial institution. With a track record of serving over 130 thousand customers and managing a loan portfolio valued at approximately $160 million, Archil is at the helm of strategic leadership and corporate governance for the organization he co-founded. He also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Agat Credit, a fast-growing microfinance institution dedicated to advancing data-driven financial inclusion in Uzbekistan.
Archil’s journey includes his election as a Board Director for MFC in 2021 and his subsequent appointment as President of the Council in 2023. His commitment to ethical practices in the financial industry is marked by his tenure as Chairman of the Georgian Microfinance Association, where he spearheaded the adoption of the industry’s Code of Ethics.
Beyond his corporate leadership roles, Archil is engaged in the non-profit sector. He serves as Chairman of the Board for the Crystal Fund and sits on the Boards of several other philanthropic organizations. His dedication to social impact extends back to his educational journey, where he was a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, earning an MBA from Lancaster University’s Management School in 2004.
Archil is a fellow of the John Smith Trust (2000) and recipient of the international van Heuven Goedhart award from the Dutch Refugee Foundation, Stichting Vluchteling (2003).
