Eastern Europe President Yasemin Bedir joined Mastercard in 2007. Before her career in Mastercard, she worked as a manager in retail banking services at HSBC, Garanti Bank, and Yapı Kredi in Turkey. She served in several roles from marketing to product development through the years. In 2011, she took on the role of the Head of Sales for Southeast Europe and consequently in 2014 she became General Manager of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
On December 1st, 2017 she had been appointed as Mastercard North America Markets, Executive Vice President and has become the first female senior executive ever from Turkey to work in Mastercard US. In this role, Bedir was responsible for Community Institutions and Processors for North American Markets until 2022. Since the beginning of 2022 Bedir is in charge of newly formed Eastern Europe Division, overseeing 12 countries.
Being amongst the Founders of the Professional Women Network (PWN), Yasemin Bedir is also cosponsoring Women Leadership Network globally within Mastercard and leads many projects to help SME’s grow.
