Surjit Chana is a technology and digital transformation executive, board director, nonprofit board chairman, and Harvard Fellow. His 35-year global career spans roles as a senior IBM executive and a leader in the banking and nonprofit sectors, reflecting his deep expertise in technology, marketing, and corporate governance.
Currently, Chana holds roles as a Director on the Board of Beneficial State Bank and Bancorp, Chair of the Board’s Technology Committee, and a member of the Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO). His Board leadership extends to strategic planning for the Bank. Chana also serves as the Chairman of the Board for Care for the Homeless. He is recognized as a National Association of Corporate Directors Certified director (NACD.DC) and is certified in Cybersecurity Oversight (by Carnegie Mellon University). His advisory roles have included Chair of IBM’s Mid-Market Advisory Board and advisor to FinTech4Good and the Global Digital Economy Leadership Council.

Mr. Chana has further developed his leadership skills via his Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellowship, where he focused on advanced leadership techniques for societal impact (ESG), financial inclusion, and the impact of technology on leadership skills.
